Dr. Scheim is a fellowship trained neurologist whose areas of interest include migraine therapy, Botox, fibromyalgia, depression, pain-management, weight-loss, anti-aging, and functional-wellness. Founder and currently practicing as a Pain Management specialist at The Comprehensive Spine and Pain Center of New York. Previously worked and taught at Harvard Medical School as an Instructor in Anesthesiology at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Canty also serves as an expert consultant on emerging technologies in pain management therapies for the GLG consulting group. One of his other current projects is development of a regional anesthesia simulation device to be used for teaching medical personel this increasingly useful anesthetic technique. In conjunction with Energid Technologies, he is principal investigator of the ongoing research study to validate this promising technology.
Dr. Canty is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiologists with subspecialty certification in Pain Management. He completed his training in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at 2 prestigious Harvard institutions - Massachusetts General Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.Dr. Canty is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, The American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, The American Medical Association, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
In addition to his work within the United States, Dr. Canty has been a part of many medical relief missions to Venezuela, El Salvador, and Mexico with groups such as Rotaplast International performing surgical treatments on indigent children.
Sharon has been a physical therapist since 1999, performing physical evaluation and treatments; including therapeutic activity, vestibular stimulation, balance therapy for vertigo and diziness, neurodevelopmental treatments, fine and gross motor skills, pilates-based exercise, therapeutic exercise, and gait training.
In late 2011, Sharon joined In Motion Medical, P.C. and has helped treat thousands of of our patients in the greater New York area. She is an invaluable and an intergral part to our patients recovery from non-tramua and trama incidents and essential to In Motion's medical pain management and recovery treatment paradigm. By combining modern and holistic medicine, we use every available tool to not only treat the patients symptoms but to actually cure the ailment(s).
Sharon's professional scope is wide ranging but has specialized in fine/gross developmental neuromotor skills for children with disabilities to providing outpatient orthopedic physical therapy, evaluation, assessment and treatment for extensive orthopedic and sports related injuries.
Lynn has been practicing aesthetics for the past 8 years. She is a New York State Certified Laser Technician. Before coming to In Motion Medical and Pod Aesthetics, Lynn was an aesthetics instructor at Long Island Nail and Skin Care Institute. Lynn is also the spa administrator at Pod Aesthetics.
Unsook Park L.Ac is a licensed Acupuncturist in NY State, also licensed Oriental Medicine Dr. in South Korea. She is a graduate of Dong Guk University of Oriental Medicine in South Korea/Dong Guk Graduate School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, where she completed training in Eastern Medicine as well as the equivalent Western Medical training received by professors. She clinically practiced since 1988 and was a Professor at Chawon University in Korea.
Dominique Costa is a New York State Licensed Aesthetician. She is certified in Laser Safety, Laser Hair Removal, IPL Hair Removal, Laser Skin Rejuvenation, Pigmentation, Telangectasia, Non-Ablative Wrinkle Reduction, MD Skin Care Face and Body Peels, and Microdermabrasion. She has completed Rhonda Allison’s course, “Introduction to Acid Peels”. Dominique is American Red Cross Certified in AED and CPR. She has earned her Associates Degree in Liberal Arts from Nassau Community College, and is currently working on her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a Minor in Marketing. Dominique’s experience and education allows her to customize treatments to her clients specific needs.
